Mrs. Ali Pili Shares Love of Books with Ta'iala Students

Mrs. Ali Pili, the Executive Director of Women’s Community Action Program (W-CAP) spent a delightful morning reading with the 1st and 2nd graders of Ms. Amuia’s class of Ta’iala Academy in Mapusaga Fou. It was all part of a literary activity related to a large donation of reading books made by Women’s Community Action Program to Ta’iala Academy. The generous donation of books was made possible by a private donor, Mrs. Phyllis Hall of Salt Lake City, Utah.
W-CAP Book Donation Makes Ta'iala's Language Arts Program Possible

The 3rd and 4th grade students of Ta’iala Academy are seen pictured here with their teacher, Miss Sharon Broecker, Mrs. Ali Pili, the Executive Director of Women’s Community Action Program (W-CAP), and Mrs. Mitzi Semo, Ta’iala Academy Principal. The students are holding some of the reading books that W-CAP donated to the Ta’iala Academy of Mapasaga Fou.
Thanks to the W-CAP book donation, students have been able to study high quality literature as a class. The donation included class sets of many titles from authors such as Beverly Cleary, C. S. Lewis, Judy Blume, Roald Dahl, and E. B. White. With mulitple copies of these books, Sharon's students have been able to read and study literature together as a class. As a result, the students have developed a love of reading and an affinity for these authors. This would not have been possible without the generosity of Ms. Phyllis Hall and Ms. Ali Pili of W-CAP.
