Uniform and Dress Code
Appropriate attire helps to create a teaching and learning environment that is conducive to personal growth and academic achievement.

b. "I Am Ta'iala" red t-shirts are to be worn on field trips. (Printing available at Nuuuli Fast Printing.)
c. Skirts, dresses, and shorts must be knee length.
Inappropriate clothing includes:
a. Skin tight clothing
b. Strapless, midriff-bearing, low cut and backless clothing
c. See-through clothing
d. Spaghetti straps
e. Underwear that is not covered
f. Logos, messages and pictures promoting gangs, violence, profanity, nudity, drugs, cigarettes and alcohol.
g. Baseball caps, or any other head wear (except outside, during recess or P.E).

Consequences for Wearing Inappropriate Clothing:
Should inappropriate clothing be worn, the student will be required to wear a jacket, sweater, sweatshirt, or t-shirt to cover up the clothing or parents may be called to pick-up the student and/or arrange for a change of clothing. Repeated failure to conform to this dress code will result in progressive discipline as outlined in the Ta’iala Academy’s Student Discipline Plan.
