On Friday March 2, Ms. Nia took the third through eighth grades to the Jean P. Haydon Museum and to Fatumafuti to learn about Samoan legends and artifacts. They had a great time and learn a lot!
The wonderful museum staff helped our students and parents learn about traditional weaving, and all the student came back with things they had made themselves. Some students practice their skills at recess with the plants we have here on campus.
The folks from KVZK showed up at the museum just in time to interview some teachers and students about their field trip. So Ta'iala Academy was featured on the local news program!
Fa'afetai tele lava, ma Malo lava le tapua'i to Ms. Nia, Ms. Semo, and Ms. Ailen who supervised, Ms. Tasi and Ms. Vida who packed lunches, and Ms. Lana and Ms. Lisa who chaperoned and helped with this fun field trip!
