Leading the Way
Ta'iala Academy was founded in 2010 by a group of like-minded parents and friends with the goal of providing an excellent education in a safe and caring environment. In its inaugural year, the school had 36 students ranging from preschool to seventh grade. From its humble beginnings, Ta'iala Academy is blossoming into a vibrant, thriving center of learning.
"Ta'i" is Samoan for "to lead". "Ala" means "the way". We hope to continue to lead the way into a bright future for our children.
Ta'iala Academy Logo
The logo was designed to signify our school. The three sections represent culture (tapa print), growth (coconut trees), and a bright future (child looking upward).
Local artist and friend of the school Cherish Schwenke created the intricate tapa patterns. Design artist Jan Allan created the overall shield design.
